Texas Bankers Association
Mint Engineering is designing the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the Texas Bankers Association. The building will be located at the intersection of Lavaca Street and W 10th Street, near the Texas State Capital and adjacent to the Texas Governor’s Mansion. A new nine-story office tower is being constructed and will contain a ground level with a lobby, retail shell and back of house space, 3.5 levels of above-grade parking, 3.5 levels of office space (approx. 100,000 sq. ft.) and an amenity space and conference room on the ninth floor. The amenities will include a catering kitchen, board room, and rooftop terrace capable of accommodating 500 people.
Lakeway Church
The project involved the addition of an approximately 22,000 SF, 800 seat sanctuary building at the existing Lakeway Church campus in
Lakeway, Texas. The project also involved the development of a site master plan for the church campus, providing new outdoor areas
and buildings to meet growing needs. Electrical services to existing facilities needed to be relocated and a new service for the proposed
buildings needed to be added as part of the master planning effort.
Bruno
Mint Engineering provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for this complex of 42 microunit apartments ranging in size from 400 to 600 square feet. The project also includes 2,900 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space on the ground floor.
Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa
Mint Engineering provided MEP consulting services and construction administration support during a massive $150M renovation – a project so large that the resort had to shut down for a full year. In addition to the renovation, an additional 390,000 sq. ft. of new space was added, including a new 180-room guest tower, seven new dining options, a conference center, ballroom and outdoor pavilion, a 13,000 sq. ft. spa, and a lighted 10-court tennis complex.
YTX Austin
YTX Austin, formerly Wanderlust Yoga, opened a new location in the Domain shopping center which included a yoga studio, boutique and organic café and juice bar operated by Southern Pressed Juicery. Mint provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing renovation design for this new 3,500 sq. ft. location at the Domain shopping center.
WonderWell
WonderWell is a new early learning center based on the Reggio Emilia approach. Mint Engineering designed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the project. The mechanical system type used for the project was variable refrigerant flow (VRF) with VRF dedicated outdoor air systems to provide treated outdoor air. A new 800A electrical service was coordinated with Austin Energy as part of an overall site development consisting of three buildings and a fourth future building. Typical plumbing systems were designed with central hot water generation circulated throughout the building.
Austin Eastciders - Restaurant & Tasting Room
Mint Engineering provided MEP Engineering Services for Austin Eastciders for a renovation an existing restaurant on Barton Springs Rd. in Austin, TX to serve as a restaurant and tasting room. Renovations were made to the kitchen, brewery area, tasting room, bars and exterior areas. Mint provided the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and consulting services.
Bachendorf's
Mint Engineering provided the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering consulting services for a new Bachendorf's jewelry store in Fort Worth, Texas which consisted of 3,100 sf. ft. of retail finish out.
Tech 3443
Mint is providing site development and complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for the TECH 3443 campus, a $400M, 109-acre mixed-use development on the former Motorola campus in southeast Austin. This massive project includes renovation of 1.49 million sq. ft. and an additional 3+ million sq. ft. of new construction. All buildings will be LEED certified and the campus will include green technologies such as PV solar arrays and thermal ice storage.
Hummingbird Soco
Hummingbird is a new construction located at 1608 S. Congress in Austin, TX. The Hummingbird project is a 3-story mixed-use building located in the heart of Austin, TX. The first floor is 18,000 sq. ft. retail space. The 2nd story contains office space and specialty retail, and the 3rd story houses a 4,000 sq. ft. luxury penthouse with a cabana and rooftop pool with city views. The project also includes an underground parking area with 30 spaces.
Thornton Flats
Mint Engineering provided energy modeling services for this 104 unit apartment complex in central Austin.
Dell Jewish Community Center
Mint Engineering provided MEP consulting services including an assessment of existing MEP systems and recommendations for DJCC to consider for upcoming projects planned for the campus.
Bryker Woods Elementary
Bryker Woods Elementary is an historic school built in 1939 in central Austin. Mint Engineering was contacted to help modernize the school by implementing electrical system life safety improvements including lighting, egress lighting and emergency exit signs.
Hotel Indigo
Mint Engineering provided MEP consulting services to Hotel Indigo, including an assessment for Hotel Indigo and proposed solutions to solve cooling and ventilation issues. The hotel is located in downtown Austin and has 134 guest rooms and six floors.
Lantana Pass
Mint Engineering is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for Lantana Pass, a new development in Southwest Austin at the Southwest Parkway and Terravista intersection. The development consists of two office buildings (I and III), a preschool, and a restaurant pad site. Building I is a mixed-use building with ground floor parking for 83 spots, a 2nd level containing 9,929 sq. ft. of retail space, and a 3rd level of 10,173 sq. ft. of office space. Building III is 20,867 sq. ft. with the ground floor being 85-spot parking garage and upper stories containing 13,290 sq. ft. for office space.
Wellspring Prep Academy
Wellspring Preparatory Academy a privately-owned early childhood education center in Georgetown, TX which offers academic learning in a natural environment for ages 6 months – 12 years old. Mint Engineering is providing complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for this new building
Embellish Nails & Boutique
Mint Engineering provided MEP engineering services for Embellish Nails & Boutique located in Bee Cave, TX. Embellish was started by two University of Texas MBA grads who left their corporate jobs in 2008 to follow their dream of opening a salon to pamper busy women.
Tarka Indian Kitchen
Mint designed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for three new Tarka restaurants located in Austin and Houston: Tarka Plaza Saltillo, Tarka City West, and Tarka Upper Kirby. One of these locations was a new construction design, and two of the locations required renovation to an existing space. Tarka originated in Austin, TX and specializes in fresh and healthy Indian cuisine. The City of Austin has recognized Tarka as a “Green Restaurant.”
Cat's Pajamas
Mint Engineering provided MEP engineering services for a complete renovation of this rooftop bar in downtown Austin. The renovation included additional plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, lighting and finishes.
TM5 Properties
Mint Engineering provided MEP engineering services for TM5 Properties, a real estate brokerage company serving clients in the Bryan/College Station area
Delco Activity Center
Delco Activity Center is a 60,294 sq. ft. activity center for Austin ISD located in northeast Austin. The center is used for a variety of sports, musical performances and competitions for the district. This project involved the addition of canopies to the DELCO center, along with canopy lighting.
McCallum High School
The award-winning McCallum High School is an AISD districtwide intensive performing arts high school. Mint Engineering was tasked to provide MEP engineering services for the addition of a new walk-in cooler for the cafeteria.
Austin Eastciders - Brewing Facility
Austin Eastciders hired Mint Engineering to fix temperature regulation issues with their glycol chilled water loop. The issues were causing downtime and production losses. We put a phased plan in place to provide a more reliable chilled water system for the company's production and future expansion.
Work Well Win
Mint Engineering provided interior finish out for the 40,000 sq.ft. co-working space at the Work Well Win co-working site in east Austin. Work Well Win creates workspaces for executives and professionals and incorporates employee wellness.
Scarbrough Building
Mint Engineering provided MEP engineering renovation services for the Scarbrough Building, a historic Austin landmark located at Sixth Street and Congress Avenue. Built in 1910, the Scarbrough building was the most prestigious and modern buildings of its day, as well as the first skyscraper in Austin. The building is currently used for creative office space downtown.
